Foxtel Is Letting You Watch The First Episode Of ‘Westworld’ For Free, For Some Reason
The new deliberately obtuse drama that everyone is talking about!
Westworld is the latest serious drama hoping to fill that Breaking Bad/Mad Men/The Sopranos shaped hole in your heart, and make you contemplate questions like, ‘what is morality?’, ‘what are humans capable of?’ and ‘remember when watching TV was easy and relaxing?’.
The Best New TV Shows To Watch This Week
If you haven’t seen any of it, Westworld is a sci-fi thriller set in a wild west theme park filled with androids or “Hosts”. High-paying guests are allowed to visit the theme park and do whatever they want to the Hosts without retaliation. Surprise: lots of terrible things happen on Westworld!
After only three episodes, Westworld had already inspired 28 podcasts dedicated to unpacking the show. People are still flocking to reddit to try and decipher what this robot Western theme park show actually means. Everyone is talking about it! People are even willing to wait week-to-week for episodes!

If you feel left out of the internet buzz you need not fear, because right now Foxtel is allowing Australian viewers to watch the first episode of Westworld on their website free of charge. You don’t have to sign up to any weird newsletters, give your bank details or promise to hand over your first born, but presumably it’s a way to make their Foxtel Play streaming service more attractive.
How nice is being able to watch things legally!
