Just like jelly sandals, boyfriend jeans and romper suits, quoting Zoolander is BACK and just as fun as ever.

Fourteen years after the original (and about ten years since you got thoroughly tired of all the bits you once loved), the sequel to Zoolander has finally been announced.

Though this has been rumoured for awhile now, Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson took to Paris Fashion Week overnight to announce the news for realsies. Decked out in full Valentino threads, the pair took over the runway for a surprisingly professional walkoff to officially confirm the return of their much-loved characters.

FYI Wilson is 47 years old and Stiller is 50 now. The fact that these guys can still pass for really, really ridiculously good looking people is impressive in and of itself.

JUST LOOK AT THIS BLUE STEEL.

THEY’RE HOLDING THEIR OWN NEXT TO ANNA WINTOUR.

AHHHH.

IT’S JUST TOO MUCH.

Anyway. Down to business. Soon after the runway show, Paramount Pictures announced that the film would be released early next year in the US. So, for better or worse, this is the start of a marketing campaign that will last a little under a year.

It’s a bold move. With the original version perfectly crystallised in your teenage memories, this amount of hype could leave the sequel floundering. After all, how many quotes do you remember from Anchorman 2? None. But I bet you can picture the tacky marketing that got all up in your face.

But those are problems to deal with later. For now, let’s just enjoy the bliss that last night brought. The only way it could have been better if David Bowie made an appearance.
