Terms and Conditions

1. These Terms and Conditions govern the Competition.

All other information provided prior to entering the Competition, including any instructions on how to enter the Competition, form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this Competition is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Any entry not complying with these Terms and Conditions is invalid.

2. How to enter

To enter, eligible individuals must;

1. Upload a photo (taken on your smartphone) of your most life changing travel moment to Instagram or Facebook

2. Use the hashtag #contikiphoneographer on your post to enter

3. Include a comment about why this travel moment was special to you

4. Competition ends Friday 11.59pm on the 16 Sept 2016. Multiple entries will be accepted.

3. The following conditions apply to this prize:

The Major Prize consists of: a trip for two (2) on Contiki’s ‘Eternal India’ trip. Due to seasonal variances, forms of transport, accommodation, and other inclusions such as meals, sightseeing tours and other attractions may be substituted. 1 person will win the prize and be able to bring a passenger of their choosing, the passenger must also be between 18-35 yerars of age. Changes to the itinerary can be made at any time. Airfares are not included in the prize and are the responsibility of the winner. It is the winner’s responsibility to arrange their transport to meet with the tour.

Total prize value is up to AUD$5,574*. Prizes, or any unused portion of a prize, are not transferable or exchangeable and not redeemable for cash. Prize is non-transferable and not redeemable for cash, any unused portions of the prize will be forfeited .Additional spending money, additional meals, taxes, insurance, passports, visas, vaccinations, transport to and from departure point, additional transfers, items of a personal nature, in-room charges and all other ancillary costs are not included and are the winner’s responsibility unless otherwise stated. It is compulsory that the Winners take out comprehensive travel insurance before they travel. Contiki Holidays have the right to refuse passengers without the required insurance cover to join our tours. The prize is subject to tour availability and conditions. Excludes the following departure dates: the 18th Dec, 22nd of Dec and the 2nd Jan 2017. The trip is valid for travel UP UNTIL 31 December 2017. The final travel date must be confirmed to Contiki at least 45 days prior to intended departure from Australia otherwise the prize will no longer be valid and will be forfeited. Extension cannot be issued. Booking and cancellation conditions apply as per the Asia 2016-2018 brochure.

If a Winner is not contactable or the Prize is not claimed by the Winner prior to 14th Nov 2016 the Prize will be forfeited and will be awarded to an alternate winner. The Promoter reserves the right to reselect an alternative Winner as necessary to distribute the Prize/s subject to any directions given by the relevant authority. 4. By participating and uploading a Photograph, the participant confirms

1. That he / she has personally created the photograph that is submitted

2. That he / she agrees to not submit any photographs of a pornographic or illegal nature and that the Promoter reserves the right to disregard any images of such a nature

3. That he / she is the sole owner and copyright owner of the photograph

4. That he / she has permission from anyone pictured within the content

5. That he/she gives the Promoter of the Competition and its associated agencies permission to use their name and/or photograph for promotion, advertising, marketing or other purposes to promote their involvement with the Contiki #contikiphoneographer Competition in perpetuity across all Junkee Media and Contiki media.

5. Who Can Enter

Entry is only open to residents of Australia who are eighteen years (18 -35 years old). Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, participating retailers and agencies associated with this Competition are ineligible to enter.

The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions will be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.Multiple entries are accepted as long as the entrant has met all the entry criteria on each submission.

The Entrant acknowledges and agrees that his or her Entry will not be obscene, defamatory, libelous, threatening, harassing, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive, or encouraging of conduct that would be considered a criminal offence, gives rise to civil liability, or violate any law.

The Entrant confirms and warrants that they have full power and authority to enter into this agreement and hereby indemnifies the Promoter from and against any and all costs and damages incurred as a result of any breach of these Terms and Conditions. Junkee Media (‘Promoter’) takes all care but no responsibility to ensure that all entries are received and processed. The promoter will be in no way responsible for any entry not being processed due to technical fault, omission or any oversight. All entry processing, finalist shortlisting, vote quantification and judging co-ordination will be a collaboration between Junkee Media, Contiki Holidays (Australia) and respective influencers.

How to Win

The competition commences at 5pm on Thursday the 28th July 2016 and closes at 11.59pm AEST on Friday 16^th September 2016 (the “Competition Period”). The winner will be announced via Junkee.com and https://www.facebook.com/junkeedotcom prior to the 30th of September 2016.

At the conclusion of the Competition Period, one (1) Entry will be selected as a Major Prize winner of the Competition by a panel appointed by the Promoter (the “Winner”), at the Promoter’s sole discretion. Each Entry will be judged on creative merit. This is a competition of skill and chance plays no part in the determination of the Winner.

The panel’s decision is final and binding upon all entrants and no correspondence will be entered into. Entrants who are not winners will not receive any notification. The Winner shall be notified via Facebook, Instagram or email on their winning entry, followed by a confirmation email.

The information provided by an entrant to the promotion may be used by the Promoter in accordance with the following:

By entering this competition, each entrant grants to the Promoter a royalty-free, non-exclusive, non-transferable, absolute and irrevocable license, right and permission to use, re-use, publish, re-publish, any photographs entered as part of this Promotion.

The Promoter reserves the right to change or amend any of the Terms and Conditions outlined above with adequate and fair notification to all participants involved in the promotion and in no way is held responsible for any consequential actions stemming from these changes.

The Promoter does not collect any personal information in this competition. If your entry is selected as a winning entry, you will be contacted by Junkee Media on Instagram, Facebook or email and asked to contact us for the purposes of distributing your prize to you.
