Chris Pratt Asked Fans To Design Him A New Facebook Cover Photo; The Competition Was Incredible

He wanted it to include raptors, cigars, explosions, rollerblades and corndogs. Chris Pratt is actually Andy Dwyer.

Considering he’s rocketed to superstardom in roles which required him to skip around a world made of Lego, fight aliens, lead velociraptor motorcycle gangs and amble around a small town as a highly-GIFable human puppy dog, it should come as no surprise that the internet loves Chris Pratt. But, between his adorable antics on promo tours and generally being a good guy in every other aspect of his life, it seems like there’s much to love about him off-screen as well.

Case in point: this weekend, Pratt personally asked his 2.2 million Facebook followers to design him a new cover photo. “I’m looking to have Peter Quill, Owen, Andy and Emmet in the mix,” he wrote. “Possibly some other fun stuff including but not limited to previous roles, my family, eagles, American flags, guns, cool ford raptors, cigars, explosions, anything Sly Stallone, bloodsport, early Steven Seagal, anything that looks bad ass and will say, ‘Hey this Facebook profile is Chris’ and this is what he’s all about’. Maybe some raptors, or even some largemouth bass or deer or trophy elk, maybe some cool guns or rollerblades or possibly even a Nascar or a steak maybe even some corndogs.”

Basically, there’s a very good chance that Chris Pratt is literally Andy Dwyer and his entire career has been an elaborate ruse to live out all the Burt Macklin-level fantasies he’s been hoarding since he was eight years old.

Any entries that don’t feature this face should be immediately thrown in the bin.

The post was naturally flooded with more than 6,000 immaculate Photoshop creations in just a couple of days, with a number of top contenders quickly emerging.

As per Pratt’s request, they were all pretty big on the whole guns and ‘murica thing:

Seriously — each one could legitimately be the new US flag:

Borrowing more from his comedic work, a bunch of fans also opted for a slightly weirder vibe:

And some just straight-up crafted new narratives for him and Blue from Jurassic World:

I do not remember this part of the movie.

Importantly, he stopped accepting submissions last night and hasn’t yet announced a winner. But considering how many people he’s been engaging with, and the downright lovely tone of all his updates, you should probably just upload your own anyway. At worst, you’ll spend a few dumb minutes of Photoshop making something incredible; at best, you’ll get showered in praise from Chris Pratt, have your work plastered across his page, and become best friends forever.
