Bertie Beetle better watch his back, because there’s a brand new player in town. Staking a claim to the showbag pavilion at this year’s Royal Melbourne Show: a showbag inspired by AMC’s Breaking Bad. Because I mean really, what do kids love more than gritty serial dramas about the rise and fall of Albuquerque drug barons?

Maybe the Wizz Fizz bag. But that’s about it.

The Breaking Bad showbag features a number of pieces of Heisenberg-themed merchandise, including Heisenberg playing cards, a Heisenberg key chain, a Heisenberg baseball cap and a Heisenberg apron.

I definitely want that apron, but to be honest the $25 tag feels a little on the steep side. Then again this is the Melbourne Show, so I’m not sure why I expected anything different.

Still, they could have at least thrown in a Los Pollos Hermanos t-shirt or a beginner’s chemistry set or something. I’m probably just going to wait until next year and hope they come out with a Deadwood-themed showbag instead.
