Brendan Maclean Once Had An Enema On Christmas Eve, And Wants To Read You A Poem About It

At Junkee’s recent movie screening of Happy Christmas (a lovely film that we encourage all of you to track down and watch over the next couple of days), we invited along Junkee contributors, writers and comedians to share their favourite holiday stories. We heard of gift mix-ups, bee stings and sibling hierarchies, but by far the most whimsical tale, and also the most disgusting, came from musician, actor, Junkee contributor and bon vivant Brendan Maclean.

Luckily, for those who missed it, the piece has now been recorded for posterity. Here, from the highly polished, Mariah Carey-backed, and possibly intoxicated studios of Zsa Zsa LaFine (Maclean’s housemate/partner-in-crime) is a tale to tug at your heart strings and gag reflexes: ‘The Enema Before Christmas’.

We recommend knocking back a couple of ‘noggs before viewing for the fullest of appreciations. It’s a true story.
