Well it’s certainly the week for it, huh?

Max MacKinnon is MC Eso, one half of Bliss N Eso — a Multi Platinum, ARIA Award-winning act, and one of Australia’s most successful hip hop exports (if you don’t count Iggy Azalea because why would you.)

Between albums and tours, MacKinnon is currently on holiday in the Los Angeles, and yesterday found himself at Madame Tussauds.

He had quite the time!

Should there be any ambiguity in the image above: yes, that is a photo of an adult human man threatening to punch a wax likeness of Rihanna. Rihanna was assaulted in 2009 by her then-boyfriend Chris Brown, after she found a text message from another woman on his phone. He pulled his car over and tried to push her out, before bashing her head against the window and dashboard, punching her in the face, biting her and attempting to choke her after she took his car keys away.

“Where did ya throw those fucking car keys woman !?!” MacKinnon writes hilariously, punctuating the post with some kool hashtags: #rihanna #smackmybitch and #shelovesthewayithurts.

But wait, there’s more! “If ya liked the Rihanna one , your gonna love this !!” he typed, before uploading a photo of himself upskirting Raquel Welch while threatening her with a club.

“#cavebitch” is one word he typed, before typing these ones too: “#boxbasher #oneeyeonthesnatch #peekaboo”

Here he is with Lady Gaga. What a day!

After calls for triple j to boycott the high-rotation band (which they have not yet responded to), MacKinnon deleted the photos from Instagram and posted the following apology.

“Violence against women has no place in our society and I am sincerely sorry for the offence that my previous Instagram posts have caused. The photos were not intended to promote violence and were shot in a comedic manner, which upon reflection I realise was in bad taste and unacceptable.”

He is sorry you were offended by not taking it as a joke. So, that settles that then! Long live Bliss N Eso!

Oh, and for those who are interested, here’s some lyrics to their 2006 Day of the Dog track, ‘Get Your Boof On’.

I have highlighted just a few of the many problematic phrases.
