Woman On ‘The Bachelor’ Vietnam Confesses She Is In Love With Her Competitor
This blows every other rose ceremony out of the water.
In a world first, Vietnam’s version of The Bachelor has aired a rose ceremony in which a contestant confesses she is in love — not with the bachelor himself, but with one of her female competitors.
Minh Thu was picked by bachelor Nguyen Quoc Trung to depart from the show during the rose ceremony. Standing in front of Trung, these were Thu’s final remarks:
“I went into this competition to find love,” she says. “I’ve found that love for myself. But it isn’t you. It’s someone else.”
Thu turns to one of her competitors — Truc Nhu — hugs her, and asks whether she would want to leave the show with her.
“Come home with me,” Thu tells Nhu.

At the end of the day, it wasn’t the happy ending departing contestant Thu would have wanted.
The competitor she declared her love for ended up changing her mind, and has continued on with the show.
While contestants have ended up together before in Bachelor Australia, it’s never happened while the show was being filmed.
