In the latest episode of her talkshow which just went to air in the US, Ellen DeGeneres sat down for a very refined and hard-hitting interview with Democratic Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton. In front of an enormous crowd outside the iconic Rockefeller Centre in New York, the pair spoke about Clinton’s campaign, her experience for the job, and the nation’s long history of feminist victories that have led her to this moment.

“It wasn’t until 1920, when the 19th amendment passed, that women were allowed to vote,” Ellen said. “Women weren’t allowed into the military until 1938; not allowed into combat till 2013. It wasn’t until 1973 that a woman could serve on juries. A woman could not have her own credit card until 1974.”

Then a small child came out and they dressed her in a tiny novelty pantsuit.

Then tWitch was suddenly on stage teaching Hillary Clinton how to do the Whip and NaeNae.

Then Amy Schumer casually coasted out in some skates and yelled “Let’s go girls!” to Ellen DeGeneres and a woman who may soon be the Leader of the Free World.

US politics is weird.
