Since beloved actor and childhood protector Alan Rickman passed away at the age of 69 two weeks ago, fans have continued to discuss and celebrate his different roles, while also finding new ones — like this very cute video of a tortoise he narrated for Save the Children and Refugee Council.

He’s also been given some seriously heart-breaking and moving send-offs, like this one from Dogma director Kevin Smith, and this one from former co-star/dead eternal soul mate’s son Daniel Radcliffe. And over the weekend at the ‘Celebration of Harry Potter expo held at Universal Studios Resort, a bunch of adorable Rickman fans dressed as Professor Snape raised their wands to commemorate the IRL hero, and it’s worth watching if you’re not wearing any dramatic eye makeup right now.

But Rickman’s final films have yet to be released; military thriller Eye in the Sky is due for US cinemas in March, with Disney’s Alice Through the Looking Glass not far behind it. Though the trailer for the former has been out for a while, the latter’s trailer has just been released to coincide with the Super Bowl, and Rickman’s soothing narration is not at all haunting, nope.

You don’t actually see Rickman in the clip — or the upcoming film — as he plays the voice of the animated blue caterpillar, Absalom, who gives fairly useless advice to Alice (Mia Wasikowska) when she returns to Wonderland. The film is a sequel to the 2010 Alice in Wonderland, and brings back old favourites Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp) and Queen of Hearts (Helena Bonham Carter), as well as introduces new character Time (Sacha Baron Cohen).

Yep, that was totally fine, I definitely don’t have a black empty void where my soul use to be.

I’m not crying you are.

Alice Through the Looking Glass hits Australian cinemas July 14.
