If you got Netflix in the last week or so, and/or if you are a fan of TV shows that are excellent and good, your day just got substantially better. In an interview with Grantland podcaster Bill Simmons that went up on YouTube a few hours ago, Arrested Development producer Brian Grazer casually dropped that they’ve got another 17 episodes in the works and told fans to “stay tuned for Arrested Development.

I will, Brian Grazer. I. WILL.

The interviewer responded to that bombshell by asking literally no follow-up questions and insisting on talking about something else instead, which is not how you interview, sir. Why must you ruin good things.

That’s all we know so far, but the first step is always the hardest. If the producer of the show is comfortable revealing stuff like that on podcasts, hopefully there’ll be more info on a release date and cast soon. Just hope he didn’t screw up by announcing it before everything was locked in.
