A Bunch Of Gatsby Props Are Going Up For Auction, And Some Of Them Are Great
Includes the fanciest waffle iron that we have ever seen.
The Theodor Bruce auction house in Beaconsfield has a whole heap of Gatsby goods up for grabs. On preview today until 5pm, tomorrow (11am-4pm) and Sunday from 9am are hundreds of items — lots 601 through 800M — taken from the set of Baz Luhrmann’s Leo DiCaprio-starring film.
There are light fittings, tables, chairs, walls adornment, stationary and a whole heap of boring old door handles; between the custom-built props and the vintage buys, it would take hours for you to look through it all closely. So we looked through it all closely for you, and pulled out the best bits.
The auction is starting at 2pm on Sunday; for lots with a low estimate >$200, you can arrange a telephone bid by clicking here; to leave an absentee bid you can complete the form here. Alternatively, you can bid via Artfact.com.
