Watch Lady Gaga’s strange ‘Artpop film’

“This album is a celebration, my pain exploding in electronic music, ” says Gaga at the beginning of the video. And then she cries a whole bunch while wearing funny clothes.

Can everyone stop locking people in basements for a while, please?

In overnight news sadly reminiscent of the Ariel Castro kidnappings case from earlier this year, Scotland Yard detectives rescued three women who’d been kept as slaves in a house in South London for over 30 years.

The rescue of the three women — a 69-year-old Malaysian woman, a 57-year-old Irish woman and a 30-year-old British woman — was achieved with the help of the London-based organisation, Freedom Charity. “A television documentary on forced marriages relating to the work of Freedom Charity was the catalyst that prompted one of the victims to call for help and led to their rescue,” the lead detective on the case revealed. Two suspects were arrested at the scene, a 67-year-old man and a 67-year-old woman.

In case you’ve got nothing to do all day, Pharrell made you a 24-hour video

Pharrell

Perhaps inspired by Bob Dylan’s interactive channel-hopping music video from earlier in the week, Pharrell has just released an innovative clip of his own: it’s a 24-hour music video for his new single ‘Happy’, from the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack. Yes, it literally runs for 24 HOURS, and he’s got an awesome outfit for every one of them.

Watch the whole thing here if your life is ridiculously empty.

“I just had this really bad pain for, like, three weeks, and, you know, you can only shit your pants so many times a day before you’re like, ‘I need to go to the hospital.'”

That’s Jennifer Lawrence discussing her recent health scare (“I thought I had an ulcer, turns out it was a falser”) on Letterman last night.

Ah, we’ve all been there. Also, we have no idea who ‘Helen Hayes’ is either, but we still laughed. Good one, Letterman.
