Watch The Trailer For ‘City Of Tiny Lights’, A Stylish Neo-Noir Feat. ‘Rogue One’ Star Riz Ahmed
So much neon.
Riz Ahmed is on a roll with no sign of slowing down. Last month the British actor and rapper scored a Golden Globe nomination for his work in HBO’s The Night Of, and played a prominent part in Star Wars spinoff Rogue One. This year he’s set to appear in a supporting role on Girls, and will star in the London-set detective thriller City of Tiny Lights, the latter of which just got a very slick new trailer.
Directed by Pete Travers (Dredd), the film sees Ahmed play an alcoholic private eye who gets caught up in a missing person’s case involving an old flame, played by Billie Piper, and a high-class escort, played by Cush Jumbo. Alright, so not exactly reinventing the wheel from a plot perspective, but I’ll be damned it the footage doesn’t look stylish as hell. Guess I’m just a sucker for a bit of neon.
City of Tiny Lights hits cinemas on the UK on April 7, so look for it in Australia and/or on your preferred streaming service some time after that.
