Fans of excessive amounts of whimsy rejoice! Disney have released the first teaser trailer for Into The Woods, the upcoming film based on the 1986 musical by Stephen Sondheim that took every childhood fairytale you’ve ever heard of, added a boatload of singing and turned out camp as all hell.
The trailer features Meryl Streep as a kickass-looking witch, Anna Kendrick being all waify and wistful and saying the phrase “I wish” over and over”, and a teaser shot of Johnny Depp playing the Big Bad Wolf and really pushing himself as a actor by playing a kooky, wild-eyed misfit.
