Watch Bryan Cranston’s Lovably Insane One-Man “Broadway Show” About Baseball

He only hit one lady in the face with a baseball.

Watching Bryan Cranston take the piss out of himself and Serious Acting is so much damn fun. In this brilliantly weird segment, Cranston plays a deluded, pompous version of himself who decides to take time off from TV and movies to put on a one-man Broadway show about Major League Baseball, and has no idea how terrible an idea that is. He nails everything — the puffed-up actor with a vanity project, the over-earnestness of the candid interview, the precious talent throwing tantrums in rehearsal — so that it feels more like a satire of capital-A Actors than of baseball.

It’s actually an extended ad for the Major League Baseball post-season coverage on American channel TBS, but who cares? It’s offbeat and hilarious, especially the part where he brushes off sending a lady to hospital by hitting her in the face with a baseball.

God love you, Walter White.
