Watch Bill Gates Drink A Refreshing Glass Of Water Made From Literal Human Turds
Sounds gross. Could change the world.

I don’t want to take away from this as a world-changing idea, or a valid investment opportunity. I also don’t want to take away from the value of Bill Gates, as a quadripidillionaire who is using his fortune for good. The ability to turn human poop into electricity and clean, drinkable water could save billions of lives; it could also help the developing world profit from waste, while reducing our reliance on unsustainable energy solutions. Risk-taking in philanthropy is extremely important! The Janicki Omniprocessor is a great invention! Kudos to those brilliant engineers!
With that in mind though, here is a video of Bill Gates drinking a glass of water made from literal human shit.
The Gates Foundation claims that every $1.5 million plant could process the waste of around 100,000 people, in a world where around 1.5 million children die each year from contaminated food and water. In India alone, according to Wired, bad sanitation costs the country close to $54 billion a year.
“I watched the piles of feces go up the conveyer belt and drop into a large bin,” Gates writes on his website. “They made their way through the machine, getting boiled and treated. A few minutes later I took a long taste of the end result: a glass of delicious drinking water … The water tasted as good as any I’ve had out of a bottle. And having studied the engineering behind it, I would happily drink it every day. It’s that safe.”

Poop comes out:

Poop goes in:

“That’s water!”
