The Simpsons excel at making horrible things very funny, and there is no greater example of this than the running gag about Principal Skinner’s post traumatic stress disorder caused by the Vietnam War. How are they able to make such a terrible thing funny?
Someone called Beer Baron has compiled clips of Principal Skinner reminiscing about his terrible experiences and it is darkly hilarious.
What the video is missing however, is the revelation that Principal Skinner actually stole his identity from his commanding officer during the war (DON DRAPER, ANYONE??) and that he’s actually a troublesome orphan named Armin Tamzarian. But you know, still a good video.
