Ivanka Trump Tried To Butt In On A Conversation Between World Leaders, And It’s Already A Meme
TFW you interrupt Theresa May to tell her the defence force is male-dominated... #UnwantedIvanka
Here’s a sentence I never thought I’d write: this year’s G20 summit has produced an incredible meme, all thanks to Ivanka Trump.
The G20 is an international economic forum, where the leaders of the European Union and 19 other countries come together to talk about the global economy. Not usually meme-worthy content, except that in this case, Ivanka Trump was there.
It’s not really clear why Trump’s daughter needed to be at this gathering. She’s an Advisor to the President, yes, but she’s best known as a businesswoman and reality TV personality, not as a world leader or an economist. That, unfortunately, didn’t stop her from trying to wander over and join a conversation with French president Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Theresa May, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Christine Lagarde, head of the International Monetary Fund.
That encounter was caught on camera, and it was an absolute trainwreck. Macron, May, Trudeau and Lagarde were standing in a circle discussing something, while Ivanka stood at the edge of the circle and continually tried to interject, missing the fact that not a single person there wanted her input. At one point, she interrupted to say that the defence industry has been “very male-dominated”, as the entire group continued to ignore her. You can see the frustration on their faces here:
Ivanka Trump really cannot take a hint, hey? Naturally, someone on Twitter suggested photoshopping “Ivanka the unwelcome interloper” intruding on other occasions where she famously does not belong, and hence the #UnwelcomeIvanka meme was born.
Somebody please photoshop Ivanka the unwelcome interloper boxing way above her weight into the following:
– Megan Rapinoe’s goal celebration
– Nixon-Elvis meeting
– Beyoncé’s Coachella performance
– Curies’ lab
– constitutional convention
– cast of Big Little Lies— Erin *crosstalk* Ryan (@morninggloria) June 30, 2019
In just a few hours, the good people of the internet have photoshopped Ivanka into a series of historical events, plus famous album covers, The Last Supper, Titanic and so much more.

And thanks to Ivanka’s proclivity for seizing any and all bizarre photo opportunities (like the time she dressed up as a scientist), it turns out there’s an #UnwantedIvanka for almost every situation.
