After binging The Umbrella Academy Season 2 back in July, we’ve all been left wondering what’s next for the Hargreeves siblings, and more importantly, who the hell is part of the Sparrow Academy, for months.

In case you need reminding, Season 2 of The Umbrella Academy ended with the Hargreeves siblings transporting back to 2019 after saving the world in the 1960s. But despite managing to successfully prevent the 2019 apocalypse that Vanya originally caused in Season 1, the Umbrella Academy were met with something even more confusing upon their return — The Sparrow Academy.

With timelines being altered by the Hargreeves actions back in the ’60s, the Umbrella Academy returned to the now to find not only a new group of kids in their place, but their father and Ben very much alive.

Thankfully, after being left with a major cliffhanger like that, Netflix has finally put all the speculation, over who joins Ben in the Sparrow Academy, to rest by revealing the new cast of The Umbrella Academy Season 3.

So, strap in and meet the members of the Sparrow Academy:

Marcus — Sparrow #1

Sparrow #1 is Marcus, who is played by Justin Cornwell from Netflix’s Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey (lol).

Netflix describes Marcus as the one who keeps the family together, “oozing confidence and leadership without ever having to raise his voice”. While “charming, chiseled, honest and virtuous”, Marcus is also “graceful but lethal, calculated but compassionate, [and] is as smart as he is strong”.

Ben — Sparrow #2

As we saw at the end of Season 3, in the newly altered timeline, Ben Hargreeves is alive and well. No longer a ghost, and without his old memories of his original siblings, the new Ben is said to be “not the sweet Ben we know and love” from Seasons 1 and 2.

Still played by Justin H. Min, the new Ben is a “vicious, pragmatic, and hyper-vigilant Machiavellian tactician” who is “determined to gain his status as the leader at all costs”.

Fei — Sparrow #3

The third Sparrow is Fei (Britne Oldford of The Path and Hunters) who “sees the world in a special way”.

According to Netflix, despite coming across as a misanthrope, Fei longs for a friend. But her desire for friendship is likely dampened by her past experiences because while “Fei is the smartest person in the room and [is] willing to working things out… if you cross her there’s no looking back because she won’t stop until the job is done”.

Alphonso — Sparrow #4

Number 4 is Alphonso, who sounds like he’s the fun one in the family.

Played by Suits and Degrassi alum Jake Epstein, Alphonso is described as having “a caustic and biting sense of humour” and apparently loves “verbally battering anyone foolish enough to get in his face, a good pizza and a six-pack of beer”.

However, Alphonso also sounds like he’s physically pretty beaten up as “years of crime fighting have left his face and body with countless visual reminders of his battles”. But hey, at least he’s got his sense of humour to get him through, right?

Sloane — Sparrow #5

Big Hero 6 and She-Ra’s Genesis Rodriguez is Sloane, or the new Number Five, in The Umbrella Academy.

A little different from the original Five, Netflix says that Sloane is “a romantic and a dreamer, who feels a higher cosmic calling”. However, Sloane’s family obligations (and “fear of crossing the family line”) keep her stuck with the Sparrow Academy… for now.

Jayme — Sparrow #6

Jayme aka Sparrow #6 is actually played by Cazzie David. You know, Cazzie David — daughter of Larry David, ex of Pete Davidson, and best-selling author of No One Asked For This.

Beyond hanging out with her only friend Alphonso, Jayme is described as a “loner hidden under a hoodie” with her powers likely tying into her “fear-inducing snarl” that makes most “run across the street to avoid what follows”.

Christopher — Sparrow #7

Already a very early favourite, Christopher is played by “Existential Dread Inducing Psykronium Cube” in its first on-screen role.

Number Seven aka Christopher, like the other Sparrow Academy siblings, has his own powers is a well-valued member of the family. While the “telekinetic cube of unknown origin” can “turn the room freezing cold and induce paralysing fear”, Christopher is also “trustworthy and loyal”, and acts as the family mediator who “hands out incredible advice”. We simply must stan Christopher the telekinetic cube!

And for those stressed about the future of the original Hargreeves siblings, do not fret. The good news is that along with the new Sparrow Academy cast, Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Ritu Arya, Adam Godley, and Colm Feore will also return for Season 3.

The bad news? Well, production doesn’t even start until next month so we’re going to be waiting a while to properly meet the newcomers.

You can stream the first two seasons of The Umbrella Academy on Netflix.
