Twitter Is Rather Miffed At Angry Old Man Eminem Over His Gross And Threatening Iggy Azalea Comments
Trigger warning: this article mentions rape.
I’m not exactly what you would call a ‘fan’ of rap music. I’m aware of the general aim — to rhyme words better than other people, which I can appreciate. I know there are often references to expensive cars and high-end fashion and women being objects. There was a guy called Tupac who is probably not alive. And also, Eminem is generally someone who is not a dickhead.
Turns out that last one was wrong.
After saying last week that he wanted to punch Lana Del Ray in the face, Eminem has now made everyone else want to punch him in the balls by releasing a preview of a new song in which he describes sexually assaulting Iggy Azalea:
“So what’s it gon be? Put that s— away Iggy/
You don’t wanna blow that rape whistle on me/
Scream, I love it/
‘Fore I get lost with the getting’ off.”
I’m not fluent in rap, but it’s pretty clear that he is disgusting. Iggy herself agreed, taking to Twitter to politely tell Eminem where to go.
im bored of the old men threatening young women as entertainment trend and much more interested in the young women getting $ trend. zzzz

Much of Twitter also reacted appropriately.
“Eminem warns Iggy Azalea he wants to rape her” someone tie him to a bed and set the house on fire — ellen (@DaRealEllen) November 19, 2014
So after he said he wants to punch Lana Del Rey, Eminem wants to rape Iggy Azalea. Being violent with women is the most pathetic thing ever.

I NEED FEMINISM BC ITS 2014 AND EMINEM MAKES RAPE JOKE — super lesbian (@welch_queen) November 20, 2014
I wish eminem didn’t exist the world can do without the ‘insecure nasal whining about wanting to murder/rape your ex wife’ genre

The incident also served as an irritating reminder to many that Eminem still exists, which by this stage is exceedingly unfortunate.
Eminem you’re a rich white guy. What are you still mad at, taxes?

Eminem is the Mark Latham of hip-hop.
