Who knows how long it will take for the Kates McLennan and McCartney of last year’s best viral show The Katering Show to stop having damn babies and make a second series. It could be months. It could be years. It is impossible to say. Babies are the worst.

But to fill the gaps between, they’ve been trickling out short promos: the first one, apologising for all the babies; and the second, which was released this afternoon, plugging their new merch.

For the next month, the Katering Show will be selling signed aprons for $34.50 (+ shipping), with 100% of profits going to the Human Rights Law Centre — a not for profit organisation which, among many other efforts, advocates for refugee and asylum seeker rights in Australia and offshore, and provides legal services to those who need it.

“Thanks to the Australian Government, there are babies in jail,” explains Kate McCartney. “That statement is as free from hyperbole as it is humanity.”

“To be fair though, babies are very shifty.”

According to their online store, the aprons feature all manner of added bonuses, like “our intestinally-inspired logo encircled by a selection of foods that McCartney can’t eat! Because she’s the worst!”, an “adjustable neck strap, ensuring a comfortable fit for a wide variety of human necks”, and “poly/cotton material in a bright orange colour that looks pretty average on everyone!”

To order yours, head to their website now. “The terror babies thank you.”
