In the last week, Jenna Marbles, Shane Dawson and, most recently, Tati Westbrook, have released dramatic sit-down apology videos.

The apology train started with YouTube veteran, Jenna Marbles, announcing that she would be leaving the platform in response to criticism over her past racist videos. Feeling inspired by Marbles video, Shane Dawson then dropped “Taking Accountability” a few days later, after a number of concerning videos featuring blackface, the n-word and jokes about paedophilia resurfaced.

Now Tati Westbrook — the woman responsible for YouTube’s messiest fight ever through the infamous “Bye Sister” video — released her own apology. Speaking directly about her attack on James Charles, Tati’s 40-minute long “Breaking My Silence” video basically shifted the blame away from herself and onto Shane Dawson and Jeffree Star, claiming they “used, coerced, and manipulated” her into making “Bye Sister”.

“I did not make my video because of vitamins,” Tati said. “I made it as a result of all the poisonous lies that were fed to me by Shane Dawson and Jeffree Star.”

Despite being a whole-ass 38-year-old woman with her own thoughts, Tati claimed that Jeffree was the one who made James out to be a predator. Then, after meeting Shane, Tati says that Shane added to the allegations against James and even offered to edit and make the thumbnail for her exposé video — something that Shane Dawson had previously denied ever being involved in.

“[Shane] and Jeffree fed me so much information that I felt sick. Almost every day there was more information and new allegations,” Tati shared. “Eventually I started believing what they were saying, because they said they had evidence. By the time the drama around James Charles’ promotion of SugarBearHair reached its peak, I was beyond gaslit.”

Even though Tati made her explainer video 40-minutes long, the internet were instantly fed up by all the dramatics and her clear inability to take any real accountability for her own actions. Sharing similar critiques for Shane’s apology video earlier this week, people felt that the apologies just felt disingenuous and, frankly, just laughable.

So, people quickly turned Shane and Tati’s ~serious videos~ and ~sincere apologies~ into some very funny memes.

While there’s definitely a lot more important things going on in the world, like the fact that Breonna Taylor’s murderers have still yet to be arrested, people just couldn’t help but get sucked into the latest beauty world feud — especially considering all the people involved are fully grown adults in their 30s.

But it was Tati’s video in particular that caught the eye of people online, and quickly became the newest meme on the block.

During “Breaking My Silence”, Tati had some great meme-able moments, which was bound to happen when you release a 40-minute long video. However, it was her overly-dramatic “none” paired with her manic head shaking and crying without tears that has become the internet’s new favourite reaction.

Well, second favourite to this super-Aussie use of Tati saying “blind” at least.
