Though Waluigi isn’t playable in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, that hasn’t stopped him from bringing his special brand of chaos to the game.

Via Nintendo Life, YouTuber TheAfrowJow has discovered a glitch in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate that turns a quiet party into an out of control rager. This glitch enables players to endlessly duplicate an assist character, spawning a never-ending horde from which there is no escape. The character that appears is randomised, however one of the individuals in rotation is prince of my heart Waluigi, meaning it is possible to flood the world with his beautiful duck-like cackles.

To summon infinite boyfriends, first you’ll need two people playing as Animal Crossing‘s Isabelle to face off against each other. In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Isabelle has a side special move that lets her use a fishing rod to pull opponents closer, recover after being knocked off the stage, and grab items. It’s this last ability that is the trigger to the Wahpocalypse.

During battle, various items randomly appear on the map. One item that can appear is the Assist Trophy — a snow globe-looking object that, when picked up, summons a random, computer-controlled character to help the player. In Ultimate, characters that can be summoned include Castlevania‘s Alucard, Shovel Knight‘s Shovel Knight, and lanky instigator of mischief, Waluigi.

If two Isabelles attempt to hook the Assist Trophy at once, the successful Isabelle will subsequently be locked into a summoning loop, calling duplicates of the assisting character until they are knocked out of the cycle by percussive force.

Of course, there’s no guarantee that the character cloned will be Waluigi. You may just end up summoning a pack of Nintendogs which, to my mind, isn’t a terribly adverse outcome. But if you’re lucky — if the moon shines just right and you wish upon a star — the glitch will bring forth a harem of purple-clad, tennis racquet-wielding men to pummel your opposition into submission. And honestly, isn’t that all anyone really wants out of life?
