The 2022 Splendour In The Grass Timetable Is Officially Here

Time to dry the mould out of your tents, people!

I can’t believe it, it’s finally… happening?

Go ahead, pinch yourself! The first physical Splendour in the Grass (SITG) festival since 2020 is right around the corner folks, with event organisers dropping the 2022 site map and timetable so you can figure out how to navigate those headline clashes ahead of time (hey just kidding, they’re not too bad this year!).

For the organised among us, the festival heads from SITG have developed an app to easily peruse the festival’s timetable and map, so you can calculate the time and distance between the stages without having to peer at a dodgy screenshot through the cracked screen of your phone.

And, with a line-up that includes Gorillaz, Tyler The Creator, Yungblud, Baker Boy, and pretty much every other musician you’ve been hanging to see over the last two years, you’re going to want to plan ahead to avoid missing anyone.

With the timetable and site map release comes a sad piece of news — due to unforeseen circumstances — three acts playing at the festival won’t be able to make it this year: Surfaces, Mako Road, and Adrian Eagle.

While we mourn their loss, we rejoice at the birth of new life! Replacing these acts are rapper Tasman Keith and venerable Perth freak-rockers Pond!

It feels like ages have passed since Australia has put on a festival. I’ve been growing increasingly jealous, thanks to the Instagram stories of friends at Primavera Sound and Glastonbury. Despite being in the midst of the pandemic, we did get a SITG last year, but the virtual offering probably only appeased the die-hard festival-goers among us. (And Second Life enthusiasts.)

Gaze yonder at the timetable:

Splendour in the Grass will take place at the North Byron Parklands from 22-24 of July. For more information about accessibility and the full line-up, check out the festival website here.
