The final episode of Scrubs may have aired over 10 years ago, but its impact will be with us forever — or at least, for like five years.

So we’re stoked to hear that fans will finally be getting the reboot they deserve.

As reported by Deadline, Scrubs’ creator Bill Lawrence, alongside original cast members Zach Braff, Donald Faison, Sarah Chalke, John C. McGinley, Judy Reyes, and Neil Flynn all attended a reunion panel at a Texas TV festival over the weekend.

As you can imagine, the question of reviving the show obviously came up, to which the panel gave some very satisfying answers.

“Here’s the deal,” began Donald Faison, who played Turk on the show. “I think we all want a reboot and want to work together again but it couldn’t be a full season. Maybe like a movie or something we could shoot in a few months. With everything Bill is doing now, he’s never going to be free again. If he finds the time, we’ll do it.”

Creator Bill Lawrence, who also co-created Ted Lasso, gave a more decisive response. “We’re gonna do it because people still care about it and we enjoy spending time with each other.”

Deadline added that when a member of the audience asked what the Scrubs characters would be up to today, Judy Reyes (who played Carla) jumped in to say “I think JD and Turk finally come out,” at which point the crowd obviously went wild. I mean, anything to stop them from using the word ‘bromance’ ever again.

The panel was also asked about the potential for a Scrubs musical, but on that point we were out of luck.

“I don’t know if there will be a Scrubs musical unless this cast all say they want to do that,” Lawrence stressed. “Do you really want to hear Sarah [Chalke] sing? No, you don’t.”
