When cult members start reaching out to their families and the outside world, paranoia sets in, are they trying to escape or trying to recruit?

#3 Young and Promising

Where’s it from? Germany
On the German-Austrian border, a body is found gruesomely propped up on a mountain pass in the Alps. A burnt-out Austrian cop teams up with young German detective to investigate the bizarre crime scene. When more bodies start showing up, they begin to realise a serial killer with an obsession with pagan rituals is on the loose. Pagan Peak is a must-watch if you love shows like Hannibal and True Detective, and the complete first season is now streaming.
#5 Das Boot
Where’s it from? Germany and France
Spend a little time under the sea with this series, which is a reimagining of the iconic 1981 war film of the same name. In 2018’s Das Boot, the story picks up after the events of the film and focuses on a new sub with a new crew. The series is split between submarine life and the French resistance being plotted on land, but this show ain’t no beach holiday; think of it more like a study tour.
The cast is phenomenal with Vicky Krieps (Phantom Thread), Tom Wlaschiha (Game of Thrones), Lizzy Caplan (Masters of Sex), Vincent Kartheiser (Mad Men), and James D’arcy (Dunkirk, Broadchurch) all in the mix.
