The Sydney band’s track, from their second album Bloom, has earned cult-like status since it was released in 2015. At nine minutes long, it’s a towering song, a masterclass of restraint and release. It took a while for fans to come around to it too — in the 2015 Hottest 100 it landed at #1, but five years later in the Hottest 100 of the Decade, it reached #5. We also named it the 15th greatest Australian song of all time, which is no biggie.
