Rihanna Just Announced Her Pregnancy And There’s A Sweet Detail In The Photo You May Have Missed
The photos are iconic but the story behind the photographer is better.
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have revealed they are expecting their first child together in an iconic photoshoot on the snowy streets of Harlem.
The music icons — real names Robyn Rihanna Fenty and Rakim Athelaston Mayers — are yet to publicly comment on the pregnancy, but were photographed walking through Harlem, where Rocky was born, in perhaps one of the coolest pregnancy announcements since Beyonce’s Love On Top moment.
The announcement photos feature Rihanna decked out in an unbuttoned vintage Chanel coat and Christian Lacroix jewellery. But the most iconic thing about the announcement isn’t the outfits — it’s the photographer himself.
As pointed out by BuzzFeed News reporter Amber Jamieson, the photos were taken by long-time stan and paparazzo Diggzy — AKA Miles Diggs — who has been shooting Rihanna for years.

Rihanna has regularly shared his photos, and even took the photographer out to celebrate his 22nd birthday.
Meanwhile, Diggzy has always been respectful of Rihanna — and even noted her as his favourite celebrity to shoot in a 2015 NY Post interview, also written by Jamieson.
“A favorite. Friendly, always impeccably dressed and down to earth. She hangs out at restaurants and bars without security, and often into the wee hours. She’s an eight-hour wait waiting to happen,” said Diggzy.
The news comes just days after the sixth anniversary of Rihanna’s last album Anti, but with a baby on the way and countless other endeavours to keep her busy, it is becoming increasingly unlikely that she’ll drop the new album before she pops.
It’s unclear exactly when A$AP baby is due, but we will presumably find out when the couple eventually comment on the news.
