Listen, Reese Witherspoon is learning how to use TikTok, and it’s extremely relatable.

As you’ve probably gleaned by now, TikTok is a new video-based social media, beloved by the teens. It’s taking off. It’s going places. Everyone loves it!

Everyone, apparently also includes the talented actress and official “cool mother” Reese Witherspoon, who put up a bunch of footage of her learning how to do various TikTok trends and dances and moves on her IGTV channel. She is being taught by her son, who is a teen, and probably has a name. I checked, it is Deacon. He is fifteen years old. Love that for him.

“Deacon, this is very important. I brought you here because I have questions for you. It’s about TikTok,” she says.

“Oh god” he answers, like an ABSOLUTE TEEN.

“What is TikTok?!?!?!?!” she exhales, and it’s such a mood.

Anyway, I’m not sure about the explainer that she gets, but watching Reese Witherspoon learn how to hit the woah is just heartwarming content.

You can also go and follow her TikTok account, in which she describes herself as a “vsco mom”, which is very funny. She only has one video — but it’s a good one. In it, she directly references the “vsco girl” trend, flicking a scrunchie towards the camera and holding up her hydro flask. She knows what’s what when it comes to TikTok.

She also features a really good dog, and in my experience, TikTok at its heart is the same as any other social media — it’s all about cute dogs and fun mums doing little dances.

She also only follows two people — and I can’t help but notice neither of them are her son, Deacon. Bad luck, Deacon.
