It does not say RSVP on the Statue of Liberty.

I didn’t know that I wanted to see young male actors reading out key scenes from Clueless. Why would you want that? But it turns out that I wanted it, alright. I wanted it real bad.

In a video for W magazine’s recurring ‘Casting Call’ series, Andrew Garfield, Adam Driver, Alden Ehrenreich (as in, Yung Han Solo) and Lucas Hedges play the role of Cher in the 1995 classic, Clueless. The scene that they are reenacting is Cher’s triumphant school debate speech, in which she compares America’s immigration restrictions on Haiti with the time that people neglected to RSVP to her father’s birthday party.

It’s the best.

The coolest thing about W‘s video is that these actors do not make fun of this monologue. They all have different, but equally accomplished takes; my favourites being Andrew Garfield trying to replicate Cher’s exact accent and Adam Driver delivering it super, super angry.

And look, certain people still need to be told that it does not say RSVP on the Statue of Liberty, okay? Cher’s reasoning holds up.
