Damn it, Pixar.

If there’s one thing Pixar does better than anyone else, it’s taking hold of your emotions and batting them around like an orca playing with a seal it’s about to eat. WALL-E, Up, Toy Story 3; if a Pixar movie hasn’t made you cry noisily on an aeroplane, there’s a good chance your heart is dead.

DAH.

In keeping with that fine tradition comes Finding Dory, the long-awaited follow-up to 2003’s Finding Nemo and presumably the last movie to feature the Great Barrier Reef that won’t be historical fiction. With Ellen DeGeneres reprising her role as Dory, an origin story-slash-find-my-family tearjerker of a plot and dramatic music aplenty, the just-released new trailer is probably going to ruin you for at least the first few hours of your day. Sorry in advance.

Finding Dory is in cinemas July 29.
