These Potatoes Are Calling For Peter Dutton To Be Sacked
The anarchist spuds glued themselves to the entrance of Border Force HQ in Melbourne.

Four potatoes staged a dramatic protest outside Border Force headquarters in Melbourne on Thursday, gluing themselves to the ground in order to draw attention to Australia’s appalling treatment of asylum seekers and demand that Home Affairs Minister and “fake spud” Peter Dutton be sacked.
In dramatic vision shared by the Whistleblowers, Activists and Citizens Alliance (WACA), the activist vegetables, known as the Autonomous Anarchist Spuds Against Dutton, can be seen blocking the entrance to the building with the words “sack Dutton” emblazoned on their skin.
In one video, a security guard attempts to move the spuds on, telling their human representative that while he is “normally a potato man”, their protest was causing complaints.
“Complaints from other potatoes, like Dutton?” the representative asked.
When the security guard insisted that the vegetables would have to be removed, she told him it was “up to the potatoes”.
“I will ask the potatoes about that,” she said. “They don’t have legs, it might be hard for them to move”.
She’s got a point there.

In a statement shared by WACA, a spokes spud for the group declared that the “fake fascist spud” Peter Dutton was “dead to them”.
According to WACA, the potatoes were eventually removed by force.
“Despite their determination the potatoes were forcibly removed with some form of acetone and taken inside the Border Force building,” they told Junkee. “We are unsure where they are now but we hold grave concerns for their safety.”
