To All The Boys I Loved Before and Sierra Burgess Is A Loser star Noah Centineo has very politely asked his fans to not stalk him, please and thank you.

The rising Netflix sensation appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live over the weekend, and he opened up about his newfound fame and the eager fans that have come with it.

Asked by Kimmel why he thinks he’s been such a hit, Centineo put it down to a lucky break:

“I guess people like Netflix and they like rom-coms. And I was fortunate enough to book two random ones that got sold to Netflix.”

Kimmel revealed that over the last couple of years, Centineo has gained an average of 300,000 Instagram followers every month. He currently has more than 12 million followers.

I still see you

But Centineo took time in his late night interview to say that being famous wasn’t all sunshine and Instagram followers.

“I had this one experience — I went to New York for some work. I was in baggage claim, I had my headphones on, I was waiting for my bags to come out, and then I feel a presence approach me,” Centineo told Kimmel. “Without even knowing I side step and take my headphones off and there’s like four people looking at me.”

Centineo said hi to them, they asked how his flight was, and he asked how their flight was — which was when it turned weird.

“Oh no no no, we didn’t fly,” the group responded. “We’re here for you.”

Centineo continued:

“They parked in the same place the driver parked so they walked us to the car. and then they followed the car to the city. And when we got into the city I was like ‘there’s totally people following us’.”

And the story has a twist ending. The next time Centineo arrived at the same airport, the group was there again.

This time they apologised for stalking him, and Centineo had a clear message for them.

“I love your love… just don’t follow me.”
