Netflix Has Greenlit A ‘Carmen Sandiego’ Reboot With An A+ Cast
They better be keeping the theme song.
Netflix is breathing new life into yet another one of your beloved childhood media properties, with a reboot of Carmen Sandiego set to hit the streaming service in 2019.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 20 episode animated series will star Gina Rodriguez from Jane the Virgin as the red fedora-wearing thief, and Finn Wolfhard from Stranger Things as her chief accomplice and friend, Player.

THR also reported that the reboot will present “an intimate look into Carmen’s past”, and will explain “who in the world Carmen Sandiego is and why she became a super thief”. Finally, answers to the question that has kept me awake for all these years.
Presumably the show will also teach kids about geography and stuff.
