A week after pulling the plug on Iron Fist, Netflix has cancelled another one of its Marvel superhero shows, confirming that Luke Cage will not be renewed for a season three.

“Unfortunately, Marvel’s Luke Cage will not return for a third season,” said a Netflix spokesperson today. “Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is grateful to the dedicated showrunner, writers, cast and crew who brought Harlem’s Hero to life for the past two seasons, and to all the fans who have supported the series.”

Deadline has cited “creative differences and the inability for the parties involved to reach a deal” as the reason for the series’ cancellation.

The decision was announced on the same day that the streaming service released the third season of Daredevil to strong reviews.
