This week on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon competed in a little lip sync battle with everyone’s favourite movie star Melissa McCarthy (she owns every movie she’s in, I’ll fight you).

It all began quite pleasantly, with Jimmy Fallon doing an excellent impression of bad rollerskating and Melissa McCarthy doing an inconsistent DMX cover that was nevertheless made up for with excellent dance moves and a lot of enthusiasm, but then it took a turn for the dramatic.

For his second lip sync Fallon did Zayn’s ‘Pillowtalk’, affectively de-sexualising a fire track by a human whose face is too symmetrical to be real, and upsetting Tumblr girls everywhere.

DAD, NO.

Then McCarthy put on some goggles: it was business time. “I’ve got terrible cataracts,” she said.

“I’m obviously going to close with a song from the Pocahontas soundtrack.”

Singing one of Disney’s all-time greatest songs ‘Colours of the Wind’, McCarthy took the environmental anthem very literally and spent the performance being pelted with leaves, water, stuffed animals, feathers, glitter and, for some reason, bubble wrap.

Kind of want to leave work and watch Pocahontas now.
