Lorde Is Bringing Her World Tour To Australia And, Apparently, Getting Stoned In Nail Salons
Lorde giveth... and then giveth some more.
In 2021, Lorde giveth… and then giveth some more. After the release of her incredibly meme-able (and only slightly cult-y) single ‘Solar Power‘ two weeks ago, Lorde has shared more details about the launch of her third album, Solar Power, including a full tracklist and accompanying tour dates. What a treat.
While we’re still waiting on an exact release date for Solar Power, Lorde has blessed us with a tracklist for the album. She has also shared that she will be coming to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth in March 2022 — her first Australian tour in five long Lorde-less years.

Lorde’s Getting Stoned At The Nail Salon
While it was the appearance of a fennel bong that caught our attention in the ‘Solar Power’ video, it’s the inclusion of a song titled ‘Stoned in the Nail Salon’ that’s delighted fans today. Lorde is clearly coming into her too blazed to be phased era, and fans couldn’t be more pleased.

‘Solar Power’ Merch Is Almost Here
Along with a tracklist for the album, Lorde has shared her new collection of merch, along with an explainer that the range is a little more expensive than in the past for sustainability reasons.
On her online store, Lorde posted: “Hey, it’s me. I know the prices for these garments are a little higher than what you’re used to for my merch. I worked with an ethically-minded, environmentally responsible supplier called everybody.world these pieces are made from 100% recycled US-grown cotton — some are even made from reclaimed manufacturing waste. Repurposing waste product uses less energy and water. Your garment is a bit better for the planet than most ‘new’ stuff, and that’s what you’re paying extra for. Tight. Thanks for understanding!”
Lorde added a notice to her website explaining why her merchandise for this album is “a little higher” than what fans have been used to. pic.twitter.com/PAYoibsLqf

Prices range from $64.95 for a T-shirt, $79.95 for a long-sleeve T-shirt, to $49.95 for a tote bag.
Lorde Is Going Global (Kind Of)
Lorde’s ‘Solar Power’ 2022 world tour is taking her to New Zealand, Australia, the US, Canada, the UK, and across Europe. It’s a tour that’s great for us — and our friends in New Zealand — but very sad for fans in countries that won’t be experiencing the (metaphorically) solar-powered tour IRL.
