Everyone stop doing your silly lives for a second, because something huge has happened!

We’ve just had word Dan Pridey, a member of a triple j Facebook group called ‘Sultanaposting’  — surveyed 250 people to determine to top 100 ‘Like A Version’ tracks of all time. As of today, the results are officially in.

Coming in Number One is Sydney band DMA’S tender rendition of Cher’s 1998 track ‘Believe’, and honestly, if you haven’t witnessed this cover then we urge you to address that now. Also, can we please spare a thought for the astuteness of this YouTube comment: “These lads are the most UK looking lads that aren’t from the UK.” They really are.

Coming in at second place was US rapper Denzel Curry’s cover of ‘Bulls On Parade’ by Rage Against The Machine, with Gang Of Youths’ cover of ‘Blood’ by short-lived Queensland band The Middle East taking number three.

Other notable winners include A.B. Original teaming up with Paul Kelly to cover his classic 1987 track ‘Dumb Things’, HAIM taking on Shania Twain’s ‘That Don’t Impress Me Much’, JK47’s cover of 2Pac’s ‘Changes’ and Childish Gambino’s unforgettable take on Tamia’s ‘So Into You’.

Whew, what a surprisingly emotional walk down memory lane!

Don’t worry, The Wiggles’ notorious cover of Tame Impala’s ‘Elephant’ very much made the list, coming in at a very respectable number five.

Bluejuice also made the list with their 2012 cover of Lana Del Rey’s ‘Video Games’. This actually happened 10 years ago, so it sounds like the people who participated in the survey have had their ears to the ground for a while, with The Kooks’ 2009 cover of MGMT’s ‘The Kids’ coming in at number 88.

Dan has put together the full list right here on his YouTube channel. Enjoy!
