Khloé Kardashian Has Finally Addressed The Unedited Bikini Pic Her Family Failed To Get Deleted

The Kardashian team has spent days desperately trying to scrub a very normal but "unedited" photo of Khloé from the internet.

You know what they say: The devil works hard, but Kris Jenner works harder. And over the last few days, Kris Jenner has gone into overdrive in an attempt to scrub a “leaked” photo of Khloé Kardashian from the internet.

The strange part, however, is that the photo the Kardashians are trying to have deleted from the internet is actually very normal. In fact, it’s better than normal. Khloé, simply standing in a leopard-print bikini, looks amazing. The problem is that it’s unedited, which in the Kardashian-Jenner family seems to be a big no-no.

According to Tracy Romulus, a long-time friend of Kim Kardashian and chief marketing officer for KKW Brands, the poolside photo was allegedly snapped by an assistant and accidentally posted online, while others note that the image was actually innocently shared by Mary Jo “MJ” Shannon, Khloé’s grandmother.

“The colour-edited photo was taken of Khloé during a private family gathering and posted to social media without permission by mistake by an assistant,” Romulus told Page Six.

“Khloé looks beautiful but it is within the right of the copyright owner to not want an image not intended to be published taken down.”

Strangely, despite people online praising Khloé for how good she looks in the photo and noting how refreshing it is to see a Kardashian sister without all the filters, the family’s team desperately tried to remove the image from the internet.

A number of fan pages and Twitter accounts that shared the image allege that they were hit with copyright strikes, with some even claiming that Kim Kardashian went out of her way to privately message to plead for the photos removal, according to anonymous gossip account @deuxmoi.

But again, it makes little sense. The photo, while admittedly taken in bad lighting, makes Khloé looks great. What doesn’t look great, however, is the mad scramble the Kardashian family have taken to remove a perfectly normal image of Khloé from the internet — especially when Khloé’s own brand, Good American, is built on the mantra of “representing body acceptance”.

Even more concerning is the fact that Khloé Kardashian was more than happy to share a similar bikini photo from what seems like the same day — except this time with a posed body, better lighting, and more editing.

Finally breaking her silence on the whole strange affair, Khloé addressed the backlash earlier today with a lengthy statement on Instagram along with photo and video “proof” that she doesn’t photoshop her body — which was never what was being argued anyway.

“The photo that was posted this week is beautiful,” Khloé started her message. “But as someone who has struggled with body image her whole life, when someone takes a photo of you that isn’t flattering in bad lighting or doesn’t capture your body the way it is after working so hard to get it to this point — and then shares it to the world — you should have every right to ask for it to not be shared — regardless of who you are.”

“In truth, the pressure, constant ridicule and judgment my entire life to be perfect and to meet other’s standards of how I should look has been too much to bear,” she continued.

“‘Khloé is the fat sister,’ ‘Khloé is the ugly sister,’ ‘Her dad must not be her real dad because she looks so different,’ ‘The only way she could have ever lost that weight must have been from surgery.’ Should I go on?”

“It’s almost unbearable trying to live up to the impossible standards that the public have all set for me,” Khloé continued. “For over a decade now in photos, every single flaw and imperfection has been micro-analysed and made fun of to the smallest detail and I am reminded of them every day by the world.”

“I love a good filter, good lighting and an edit here and there… to present myself to the world the way I want to be seen, and it’s exactly what I will continue to do unapologetically,” she ended her statement. “My body, my image and how I choose to look and what I want to share is my choice.”

“It’s not for anyone to decide or judge what is acceptable or not anymore.”

While it’s pretty silly for the Kardashian clan to try so desperately to scrub a totally normal photo of Khloé from the web, it’s even sadder that Khloé feels like she has no other choice but to do so.

Hopefully one day soon, Khloé Kardashian will realise that she looks way better than she gives herself credit for — even without all the filters and editing.
