Kanye West’s ‘gospel’ album Jesus Is King is finally here, after missing its September 27 release date.

Jesus Is King was first announced via Kim Kardashian-West’s social media, with a photo of a handwritten track-list and the original date.

On the 27th, Kardashian-West uploaded a revised 10 song track-list, including ‘Water’, of which a live version was fan-recorded during one of West’s ‘Sunday Services’ at Coachella.

The album is different from Yandhi, West’s album due for release last year which was postponed indefinitely.

West will debut a documentary also called Jesus Is King today in select IMAX theatres around the world, including in Melbourne. As per Pitchfork, it follows West performing at various Sunday Services, as well as hanging out at a James Turrell installation in Arizona’s Painted Desert.

The film debuted in New York prior to the album dropping.

Listen to the album below. Reportedly, West said an event that he would never record ‘secular music’ again, but then again, he says a lot of things.
