Kanye West has reiterated his support for Donald Trump during a bizarre meeting between the two men at the White House, with the rapper declaring his love for the President and telling him his Make America Great Again hat makes him “feel like Superman”.

West and Trump, accompanied by a pack of reporters, sat down in the Oval Office on Thursday. West dominated the conversation, speaking about everything from prison reform to mental health to his Yeezy shoe line. He also praised Trump for his handling of North Korea, and said critics needed to be kinder to the President.

“If he don’t look good, we don’t look good,” said West. “He has to be the freshest, the flyest, the flyest planes, the best factories, and we have to make our core be in power.”

West proceeded to pitch Trump on a hydrogen powered plane that he said should replace Air Force One.

The rapper also shot down the idea that all black people should support the Democrats. “When I put this hat on, it made me feel like Superman,” he told Trump. “That’s my favorite superhero. And you made a Superman cape for me.”

“This hat, it gives me power.”

Trump, for his part, said West was “a smart cookie” and could “very well be” a future presidential candidate.

“Trump is on his hero’s journey right now,” said West. “He might not have thought he’d have a crazy motherfucker like Kanye West’s support and best believe, we are going to make America great.”

West also urged Americans to put their differences aside and work together. “We can learn how to be malleable in the infinite universe that we are, and the loving beings that we are … we are one unit, one country, one moment in history.”

“The greatest value people have are other people. And we need to stop working on red and blue. It’s like a gang again.”

The pair adjourned for lunch after West gave Trump a hug and told reporters “I love this guy right here”.
