Jess Glynne Gets Roasted After Ranting About Being “Discriminated” Against For Wearing A Hoodie
"Someone needs to tell Jess Glynne that...being turned away from a restaurant cos you’re wearing a hoody is not discrimination."
Jess Glynne is a singer-songwriter with half a decade in the music industry. You might know her from her appearance on ‘Rather Be’ by Clean Bandit or ‘My Love’ by Route 94, both of them massive pop sensations.
Or, you might know her from the fact that she got turned away from a restaurant called Sexy Fish for being “underdressed.”
See, yesterday, Glynne took to her Instagram to speak out against the Fish for what she saw as an illogical and rude example of “discrimination.”

“I turned up to your restaurant looking like this,” Glynne wrote in an Instagram caption accompanying a photo of her wearing a hoodie, “and you looked me and my friend up and down and said no you can’t come in and your restaurant was EMPTY.
“@sexyfishlondon please check yourself if this is how you treat people cause it’s rude, off putting, embarrassing and most definitely not inviting.
“We were made to wait and 2 members of staff came to look at us and make a decision based on our appearance. I think the attitude of your staff needs to change as that was pure discrimination. Thanks and bye.”
Needless to say, getting turned away from a restaurant when you are a wealthy and successful white woman is nothing like discrimination, something that should have been obvious to Glynne given the recent protests around the globe. As a result, within minutes, the singer was being roundly mocked on the internet, becoming a viral meme before the sun had even set.
