A new pilot for Amazon studios will offer viewers a glimpse into the strange, private life of the Muscles from Brussels, Jean-Claude Van Damme. Well, sort of.

The name of the show – and I swear I’m not making this up – is Jean-Claude Van Johnson. According to an official synopsis, Van Damme, star of such films as Kickboxer and Timecop, plays the title character, “a global martial arts and film sensation” who doubles as “the most dangerous undercover private contractor in the world.” So it’s basically a documentary.

The show is executive produced by Van Damme along with The Martian director Ridley Scott and Key and Peele director Peter Atencio. The involvement of the latter suggests the show is a comedy, although based on the trailer, who the hell knows.

I have so many questions.

The pilot episode of Jean-Claude Van Johnson hits Amazon today. Whether it gets picked up for a full series will depend on the number of people who vote for it. You know what to do.
