As morbid as the idea sounds, those who watched The Hunger Games growing up have all thought about what being in the games would actually be like.

And while we all believed that we would definitely beat out the other tributes with our skills, reality is we probably would’ve died after day one. But as all Hunger Games stans are aware, sponsors play a vital role in your rate of survival — and if and Gen Z and millennials know anything, it’s how to be fake to get what you want.

So, people have started making Hunger Games TikToks to show what life in the arena would actually be like after receiving the sponsors helpful ~life-saving~ gifts. Set to the Catching Fire score, which was originally played during the Tributes parade, these videos basically just take the piss out of our inability to take anything seriously.

For example, there are a heap of TikToks about the highly-believable scenario of pretending to vlog gifts after getting a parachute package. While others decided to show the reality of social media, and demonstrated what documenting the entire game on private Instagram stories would look like.

Some used the trend to highlight the crafty nature of Gen Z, by showing how they’d use their gifts for some cheeky arena DIY projects, like using bleach for a new look and making crop tops with weapons.

However most just used the trend to show how different real-life priorities are to those shown in The Hunger Games films. Because honestly, who has the time, energy or effort to be focused on killing other tributes when you can just flirt with them and admire your new arena-diet body.
