It’s going to be an interesting countdown — unlike other years, when we’ve had clear frontrunners like ‘bad guy’ or ‘Never Be Like You’, 2020 has been a little more divided.

Recently, Reddit nerds tried to crunch the numbers across streaming services to make out a potential top ten, with Glass Animals’ ‘Heat Waves’ landing in the number one spot, followed by Stace Cadet and KLP’s ‘Energy’, Eves Karydas’ ‘Complicated’ and G Flip’s ‘Hyperfine’.

The results are wildly varied — Billie Eilish opts for some Strokes and Phoebe Bridgers, while Flume taps Future Islands and Bicep, and Tones And I gives a nod to fellow Aussies Lime Cordiale and G Flip.
