Want more Junkee in your life? Sign up to our newsletter, and follow us on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook so you always know where to find us.

Here’s some great news for your Friday: we’ve got a tonne of screenings happening at Video Junkee 2017, and you’re gonna love them.

ICYMI, Video Junkee is our shiny new festival for all things video. So if you love catching up on the latest shows, or are a video creator yourself, come join us at Carriageworks, Dendy Newtown and Golden Age Cinema this July for two days full of everything you love.

We’ve got all your viewing needs covered with seven awesome screenings, from YouTube Red Originals awe-inspiring productions Kedi and This Is Everything: Gigi Gorgeous, to the homegrown horror hit, Wyrmwood.

Plus, there’s a nostalgia-inducing screening of everyone’s favourite totally cooked Aussie show, Round The Twist. We’re bringing together two of the actors who played Bronson in the show, Jeffrey Walker and Matt Waters, for a reunion at the screening… we know you don’t wanna miss that.

If that blast from the past hasn’t sealed the deal for ya, we also have our very own Turkish cat cafe, courtesy of YouTube Red Originals and Kedi. You’re welcome.

If you’re not sure what to attend, here’s a quick primer on what’s on offer:

Wyrmwood is an incredibly intense Australian zombie flick, which you can check out in the trailer below. A warning, though – it really is intense.

Meanwhile, Kedi and This Is Everything: Gigi Gorgeous showcase some of the best of YouTube Red Originals. Kedi is a “cat’s eye” journey through the winding streets of Istanbul, where a cat is more than just a cat.

This Is Everything: Gigi Gorgeous documents the journey of Gigi Lazzarato, a beauty YouTuber and transgender woman who came out and transitioned in front of her audience of millions.

You can find more info about the screenings, where they are and buy tickets over at the Video Junkee 2017 site. Better get in quick, though – passes are selling fast.

Video Junkee is a new annual event for lovers and creators of online video. It is on July 28 & 29 at Carriageworks, Dendy Newtown and Golden Age Cinema in Sydney, featuring keynotes, masterclasses, screenings, interviews and more. Tickets are on sale now
