A NSW Farmer Made A Heart Out Of His Flock Of Sheep As A Tribute To His Aunt

Sheep farmer Ben Jackson couldn't get across the border for his aunt's funeral in Queensland.

Prepare to feel warmed and saddened all at once. Sheep farmer Ben Jackson from Guyra in regional NSW was unable to attend his aunt’s funeral, across the closed border in Queensland, so instead gathered his drone and his flock of sheep to make a tribute to play at her funeral.

He lay out grain in the shape of a love heart and then let his heavily pregnant brood go to feast, filming it all from his drone. He actually gave it three or four other attempts before this glorious result.

Jackson’s aunt sadly fell ill with cancer at the beginning of the pandemic and her health deteriorated over the last 18 months.

“Unfortunately, she didn’t make it,” Jackson told the Guardian. “At those times of grief, you feel really helpless, you don’t know what to do, what to say. “Especially in these COVID times, no one can prepare for that border closure grief, not being able to say cheerio or be there when she passes. It’s pretty difficult.”

To the side of this very wholesome story, Farmer Jackson also likes to DJ in his shed, and I think he should be the next Farmer Wants A Wife. (Assuming he’s single. And looking. And straight.) Please enjoy the below:
