Well, it had to happen eventually. Earlier this week, Eminem announced he’d be opening a pasta restaurant in Detroit called, no points for guessing this, Mom’s Spaghetti.

If you missed that era of culture, the name is taken from one of his most famous lyrics in ‘Lose Yourself’: “His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy/There’s vomit on his sweater already, mom’s spaghetti.

The takeaway restaurant officially opened on Wednesday, and to the shock of fans, Eminem himself was on hand to take orders and dish out the goods. Lines for the restaurant reportedly stretched around multiple blocks, with some fans waiting hours and hours for the opportunity of throwing up spaghetti on their sweaters. The rapper wasn’t there for long, of course, he only served about 10 fans, but still.

“We’ve had a lot of fun putting this project together with the folks at Union Joints, and the response from fans has been overwhelmingly positive,” said Paul Rosenberg, Eminem’s manager, in a statement. “The previous pop-ups were really a test for us to determine whether there was enthusiasm for a regularly-occurring Mom’s Spaghetti spot that would be open all year long.”

Speaking of Eminem, he’s just been announced as part of the huge Super Bowl half-time show line-up for next February. The rapper will appear alongside Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar, and Snoop Dogg. “The opportunity to perform at the Super Bowl LVI half-time show, and to do it in my own back yard, will be one of the biggest thrills of my career,” said Dr Dre in a statement, also flagging that the show will signal the next ‘saga’ of his career.
