The RuPaul’s Drag Race universe is getting even bigger, with the announcement of a new spin-off show titled Queen Of The Universe.

Hosted by Graham Norton, one of the most beloved entertainers of the small screen, the show is a drag singing competition that will see contestants from around the world compete to find out which of them will be crowned as the titular queen of the universe.

As reported by Deadline, contestants will hail from Mexico, Canada, France and more, with a staggeringly diverse array of talent on display. Fronting up against a panel known as the “Pop Divas”, contestants will have to belt out classic bangers under a strict time pressure, as in the singing competition of RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Oh, and for the record — there’ll be no lip-syncing. Every song will be performed live, adding a welcome element of chaos and spontaneity to the proceedings.

Better yet for Drag Race fans, a key member of the franchise’s family will serve as a judge — the iconic and beloved Trixie Mattel. Other judges include Vanessa Williams, Michelle Visage, and British singer-songwriter Leona Lewis.

Watch the trailer in full right here, and then get ready for the show’s launch on December 2. Queen Of The Universe will be hitting Paramount+, meaning you’ll probably have to dish out the cash for yet another streaming service. Oh well — from the trailer alone, it looks like the show will be well worth the price of admission.
